People come and go for a reason.

I can't remember meeting my best friend for the first time, I can't remember what circumstances led to us being friends or what we might have thought of each other. It was a decade ago so I think it's fair to not remember but I can hazard a guess at what could have transpired. I always assumed that, given we were in Year 8 at high school, we probably got put into a class together. I remember that for a long log time we had Maths with the same teacher and I used to help her in maths by first giving her the answer until he teacher told me to not just give her the answers but help her work through the problem slowly.
I remember always being sat behind her and from then on it was just like she was always there, I can't remember if that's how we met, her asking for help but I do remember her being there for me ever since.

I have this other friend James, I remember the minute I met him, I was starting HND Graphic Design at Poole College and me and some other students who'd also been on Level 3 Art and Design with me were being introduced to some new people. Our Tutor decided it would be wise for those of us that had already been at the college for a couple of years to pair with the new students and show them around the college.
I'd seen him the minute he walked in and if he reads this then there's and ego boost but I'd then secretly hoped that my teacher would pair me with me him, I distinctly remember thinking, give me the hot one. We became pretty fast friends after that, I'd teach him about Adobe Illustrator and gaze at him while I pretended to listen, which I still do.

I don't remember the exact moment I met another friend of mine but I do remember the first time I spoke to him. I met Rob on the bus. I was never sure which stop he'd get on at but I knew that while he was still at high school that he'd be there all week. I first spoke to him when I saw he didn't have headphones or any music and I always wondered how you could sit on a bus full of people with nothing playing so I offered him headphone, He was cute. He's still cute six years later.

He's also the reason I met a bunch of other people see while he was on the bus and I wasn't he'd made other friends.

Friends Like Ollie.

Ollie was a triple threat. Charming, funny and flirty. I was down for and I developed feeling for him really quickly which was pretty stupid given he had a girlfriend. I remember getting up early on days off just to see him on the buses or walking to the train station so we could hangout longer. I remember him putting a coffee cup between my boobs (low cut top) because he didn't have a free hand.

I remember all kinds of things that make me smile but you guys don't really need to know.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess the point of all of this nostalgia is the simple fact that some of these people whom I've grown up alongside have influenced who I am and they might now all still be in my life as much as I'd like. I do want them to know that their passing through changed me in one way or another. A growth in confidence or ignorant bliss.

There's a reason these people came into my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
For those I've not mentioned who've changed me, Thank you.

If you don't know if you're one of those people then ask me, it would be my pleasure to tell you why you're amazing.

Cheers
